PISC.. Graduated 26 October 1990. One of the proudest days of my life...
Love seeing these. John Foley Swansea PD
Hey John, I'm a retired MSP who broke in at the old Rehoboth Barracks in 1964-66. I really liked the area and missed it when I was transferred. I've traveled around the sun 85 times now and am enjoying grandkids and great-grandkids. Life is good. Semper Fi, Bill Lonergan
@@BillLonergan2 Bill, thanks for replying. Glad you are doing well. I remember Rita and I visiting you and your wife (Carol?) in Dighton/Taunton when Rita was pregnant for our second son. You guys came to our apartment in Ocean Grove also. I was only on Swansea 3.5 yrs. Pay was awful. Went to school got a couple degrees finally. Retired accountant. Good memories. Semper fi. John
Great timeless video thanks for sharing…..Graduated with 2079 October 6th 1985 from Parris Island 👍🇺🇸

June 1987 for me #2053 a day that will live in infamy in my brain. Now my two boys going in May 27th oohrah Semper Fi!!!
I think you'll agree. It's a life-changing experience that changes a person for the better.
It brings back a lot of good memories!!!

Oh the memories. Proudest moment of my life. Grad July 19, 1985, PLT3050, 3rd BN, H Co., MCRD Parris Island.
Congratulations, boot. Now, get up to Lejeune and buy a Mustang at 25% APR.
Just curious did your Marine do 4 or stay in? My Senior NCOs were from that time, I love seeing PI and it bring back so many memories like the haunted Rifle Range barracks I had totally forgot about, man that was something else.
I was a 2nd Battalion Marine in 06, Its crazy to see all those white buildings where our sand pits were lol. I thought maybe the barracks were new then but I recall there being blooper rounds from 66 on the top of my rack so I dont think so :D. They used blooper rounds as endcaps to all the bunks.
Semper Fi, Willie.
Spectacular!!! Graduated January 14, 1988, 2nd Bn, Fox Co., Platoon 2004 of the 2004 Series.
Same year but in San Diego
I was there that summer, hotter than hades.
I remember there was a Slappy and Tanksley down there around that time. At least to the best of my memory. I almost remember a staff seargent Lacroix.
Di Tanksley is the one who punched me right in the mouth receiving mail call wrong in his opinion I still dispute I did it wrong, anyway that was 1987.
@@stevenlaubach5947 Yes, it was.
They are all a bit long in the tooth.
I bet a lot of these recruits have long since retired from the Marine Corps as veterans of Gulf War 1, Iraq, and Afghanistan!
It was 67 years ago that I was in Able Company, 1st Bn, at Parris Island, and I can still hear the thunder of 75 pairs of boondockers going up and down those wooden stairs of the old WWII barracks. Those old un-airconditioned buildings, with no fans.
Does anyone know what the white buildings were? I just graduated boot camp like 2 weeks ago and they didn’t exist when I was there
@10:33 I wonder when "Left Turn" becaome "Column Left".
Glad it brought back some memories. Semper Fi.
Dec '89 PI Marine, 3rd Batl. Started in late August and graduated December. Got to experience the late summer heat, changing skies of autumn and wooly-pully weather December. After graduation, my parents and I had lunch over the bridge at Beaufort. Looking across the water I couldn't quite believe I had escaped the Island XD
Oohrah! Graduated PI June 20, 1986 1st Battalion B Company
Graduated aug.25,1976,plt.150.this brings back memories

Been there, done that
👏👏
Thanks for some of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2003 even though I couldn’t hear it.
What they don’t tell you about is the disgruntled corporal or sergeant that stuck as duty NCO the day you report to A school. Almost worse than a DI. Not so much intense, but just asinine attitude.
There's always someone who is given authority, but doesn't know how to use it. Semper Fi
what were those white buildings? i went thru a couple years ago n was fox co 2nd bat
They were squad bays. Each building contained 4 platoons of recruits.
